Default Absinthe... disappointed...

I am disappointed in this years Absinthe being sold and given for free across the world...it does not contain "Grande Wormwood"... and appears to be the cheap knockoff..."Southern Wormwood"...

We need more thujone!

HA!

I believe he is trying to say that Absinthe should cause 3 or 5 levels of drunkenness... rather than 1 .... given that in the real world, it is quite possibly the most potent alcoholic substance around.

Yes I think he means that, because thujone is the chemical that is used as a flavour in absinthe. It also causes hallusionations.

Yes I thought it was weird/lame that it's only a level 1 drink, It should be level 3, because also if I recall, Halloween has no level 3 drinks, as opposed to X-Mas having Spiked Eggnog.

I guess A-Net just want to make it more difficult to get the Drunkard titles.... except for the whole "Aged Dwarven Ale from Kilroy" thing.

Harder? Absinthe was out and set at rank 1 before titles were even put in the game, you're talking out of your ass..

And ironically, you are in need of soap application to your vocal source.

There are no guarantees that A-Net didn't have the idea of titles in the works when they added Absinthe to the game. They didn't even have different levels of alcohol in those days though, did they?

This is a common mis-conception.

IIRC it was a quote by oscar wilde that started people thinking that absinthe caused hallucination's. From personal exp and friends exp all absinthe does is reveal the contents of your stomach (we drink the real stuff).

Don't believe me try wikipedia.

Good point Soti

I agree with you that it seems they have made it more difficult for the "boozers" to max the title. With lootscaling Kryta farming is not worth my while anymore They could at least have anticipated the inflation in price by dropping the Emblems needed from 3 to 2 or something like that.

... But maybe its all part of their Evil Master Plan (R) (C)

It was a joke for any Absinthe drinkers out there...

But yes... the absinthe in GW is alittle weaksauce... it could at least be a level 2 and not a level 1 drunk...

I personally have not had the Grande Wormwood variant yet...

They had a really good shot in Prague: 5 cl of vodka, half a slice of lemon on the rim, raw sugar on that, a bit of absinthe on the sugar, light the lemon on fire and when it went out take the lemon/sugar/absinthe and wash down with the vodka!

... It was called a "Tear" and hit like a ton of bricks!

Meh.

I'll pass, thanks.

I'm more of a Spiced Rum or Brandy kinda guy when it comes to spirits. Anything else is a bit Spiteful on my taste-buds.
